Does A Single Osteotomy Technique for Frozen Autograft (Pedicled Freezing) in Patients With Malignant Bone Tumors of the Long Bones Achieve Union and Local Tumor Control?
The authors evaluated bone union, complications, function and local tumor control after selected limb-salvage reconstructions using pedicled liquid-nitrogen-treated autograft. The findings concern carefully selected cases and do not show that this technique is preferable for every tumor.
Using Denosumab as a Nonsurgical Management of Aneurysmal Bone Cysts in the Pelvis
This small retrospective series examined denosumab used without surgery in selected pelvic aneurysmal bone cysts. It is limited evidence, not a recommendation that denosumab routinely replaces surgery; safety and treatment selection require specialist assessment.
How to interpret this research
The studies below are observational reports in selected patient groups. They inform discussion but do not replace contemporary guidelines, multidisciplinary assessment, pathology review or individualized decisions. Authorship is stated as co-author, not sole author or principal investigator.
Clinical evaluation is different from research publication
If you are seeking advice about a bone tumor or reconstructive decision, a specialist assessment of scans, pathology and your clinical situation is required.
